Give the title, author, publisher, copyright date, genre (how do you know the genre - from the back of the book, the title page, the text?), a description of the cover of the book, and the main character(s) you have met so far and on what page you first met them.
Right now, I am reading Suck it up by Brian Meehl. This book was published in 2008 by Delacorte Press, an imprint of Random House Children's Books. The genre of this book is Vampires - Science Fiction. I know this because of the book's bibliography and also because it is a proven fact that vampires are not real.
I did not choose this book, Ms. Luthey did (the vampire lover). She thought it would be good for me so that I develop creativity. I think she chose it because I need an understanding of other things in life, other people's thinking not just my typical soccer jock way of thinking. I know this because I do need more creativity and because I'm a solid person who sticks to my thoughts most times in my life.
The cover of the book is a dark black color. It has a medium size smiley face at the top left corner of the cover. The smiley face has vampire fangs with a straw halfway in its smile. The straw is white with red swirls on it. The smiley face is sucking up the words, (suck it up) that is in a dark red color. The words are written on with a sort off slur-pee blood font. It is rising from the bottom of the book cover, all red. It makes sense to me that its this color because red stands for vampire's favorite drink, (blood), and the black is because of the vampire's dark character.
I'm about a 1/4 through the book at this point (I'm trying to finish it so that Ms. Luthey and Mrs. Lord can see that I can prove to them that I can get through a vampire book.) I've met a good amount of characters at this point. For now, I'll make a list of the main characters and where I met them:
Luther Birnam - the director of Leaguers, a school dedicated to having vampires pass as normal human beings. Pg1.
Morning - main character of the story. A 16 year old guy wanting to pass his test and successfully reach his transformation (Called a CD) Pg. 1
Penny dredfull - Morning's guider of showing the world who is, a peaceful vampire. Pg49.
Portia dredfull – interviews Morning about him being a vampire and Penny’s daughter. Pg56.
Although I hesitated in reading this book, I thank my teachers for making me read it. I think I will enjoy it and learn from it as well. One of the things I will learn from this book I think will be that I will have more respect to why other people are interested in things that I'm not. For example, I'm into sports and books about drugs and violence, but now that I’ve noticed that vampires aren't as bad as they seem, I will be open to any book. I know this because you always find something cool, or funny. On this book it says blood lite, instead of it being bud lite. Those words made me laugh and know I love this book. I was wrong to judge this book for its cover, because after all I said, I'm anxious to finish this book.

I enjoyed how you gave more details about yourself while providing more info on the book. Your description of the cover (slur-pee font !!!) and your understanding of why that presentation was chose, is fabulous.
Are you sure vampires aren't real. Where did your "proven fact" come from?? Careful buddy ;)

Capitalization : you have one error in first paragraph.
Punctuation: you are missing commas and you use one incorrectly. I challenge you to copy the response into a word doc and see if the computer corrects your errors for you. Or, read aloud slowly and see where you would pause and try a comma.

Is this a quote? It just seems to float at the end of your character list.
Are you sure the following two sentences are clear?

Portia - Penny's daughter, and Mornings interviewer about him being a vampire.
In your last paragraph you state you will learn to understand why others like different things, you list what you like, but don't specifically say that "I think some like Vamp books because..." See what I mean Sergio? Don't hint, say it. And give me an example of what is fun about the book.

I know you worked hard and I commend you. If you can, I'd print out this response and all the comments. Then use your printout as a self check so you can edit your own work first. Keep pushing yourself. That is what an advanced student and human being does - constantly improve what needs improving and polish what is working. :)
